Is there anything the prospective mom of a baby with G6PD deficiency should be aware of, in terms of breastfeeding? This is the first I've heard of the disorder, and a quick google indicates that these babies have more trouble with jaundice. What about having some donor milk in the freezer, just in case? Does anyone have any good resources for the mom? (Lawrence says only that moms with normal red blood cell dehydrogenase have mature milk that's "rich in G6PD".)
