Hi. I want to post this question on Dr. Hale's site, but wanted to run it
by you all first to maybe get more clarification. At the ILCA Conf. in
July Dr. Hale mentioned that "Prenatal exposure to drugs can significantly
induce drug metabolism in the fetus and neonate." I have Zoloft written to
the side in my notes and it seems to me that he mentioned something about
if a mom takes Zoloft during pregnancy then baby can metabilize it more
efficiently if received through breastmilk postnataly. It all seemed so
clear at the time then when I try to read my notes later it loses its
clarity!!

I presented some of the drug info from the conference at a Dr's meeting
this am and they are very interested in antidepressants and breastfeeding.
I want to write up a summary for them, but want it to be accurate! Thanks
for your time. :-)
