I am only on my first...but I got my periods back when DD was 7 months
old. Good thing we didn't risk anything and keep going on LAM after 6
months!!! ;-) I do come from fertile stock though, and have had
regular periods every month since I started at 13 (except during
pregnancy and the 6 months PP). We were exclusively nursing, on demand,
with no more than 6 hours between feedings (but usually much less, like
under 2 hours), no fewer than 8 feedings per 24 h. (but counting for
several days I found it was much closer to 11-14), no bottles or
paci's...BUT we did spend a while from 6 weeks-3 months going for a long
number of hours on one side only before switching, to try and stem the
OSS. I still only give one breast per feeding 98% of the time. That
may have something to do with it (less stimulation=fertile sooner). She
did also start sucking her fingers at 4 months, and refused to nurse
sometimes (strike-like) for a while...so all of this may have
contributed a little.

Fio.
