Jesica,

If APNO is not getting the job done in healing her cracked nipple maybe it’s time to try something else. My first impulse would be for a trial of virgin coconut oil as cited in Marsha Walker’s article in Clinical Lactation Vol. 4, Issue 3, 2013, identifying the oil as bioactive and while not researched, anecdotal evidence supports its use. In any event, the article is well worth a read, and is packed with insights about treating nipple and breast pain.
