I need help STAT!!!  I wrote before Christmas about a mom I am working with
but only got one reply.  This is mom's 2nd baby.  With the first baby, she
had low milk supply that we did not pick up on for several weeks and a baby
with severe reflux.  She quit BF by 6-8 weeks.  This delivery (around
Thanksgiving) is going the same way.  We started her on a dble electric pump
for extra stimulation by 4 days postpartum.  Since then we have her on
brewer's yeast, Reglan, Hi Protien diet. Nursing q2-3 hours with a
supplementer.  She has letdowns about q1-2 hours around the clock and milk
drips from both breast.  But with pumping and ac/pc weights she only gets
about 1/2 oz from both breast.  Baby is 1 month old and is just above birth
weight.  We had Mom's thyroid checked and it shows borderline hyperthyroid...
She has begged both her Pedi and her OB for any and all suggestions and they
told her if anyone could help her, it would be me.  Well I can not think of
anything else to do for her.  Baby latches on and sucks well .Mom can tell
when baby is swallowing.  No maternal history of trauma or breast surgery.
 Breast changed sizes during both pregnancies and Nipples and areola became
very dark.  She is holding on to breastfeeding until I can get some
suggestions from the Lactnet.  So anyone out there   that can help.....

Also I have a mom who had reaction to the cabbage last week, her entire
chest, underarms, and upper stomach have sore that look like very large
chickenpox.  Has any one seen this????
