I'd like to be included in the study cohort of lactnuts useing gentian
violet for a nail fungus. Last month I tried it on my toes. It stays on a
LONG time so I still can't tell whether it was effective!
    My husband was having problems with sores at the corners of his mouth.
After various dosages of B vitamins, a family doctor diagnosed perioral
dermatitis and prescribed Doxycycline. After two courses of treatment during
which the condition would get better than return, I decided to paint his
mouth with gentian violet. That was six months ago. It went away after 3
days of treatment and has not returned.
