Back in the day (he's 43 this year :-) I had problems with recurrent
mastitis. At that time I figured out it was too tight bras, inhibiting milk
flow and causing plugged ducts that led to the mastitis. Knowing what I
know today, it was also oversupply syndrome. He gained one pound a week for
first six weeks, then 8 oz per week for another six weeks. He was fussy, a
not comfortable baby - so what did I do? I picked him up and nursed again
:-( So today a look at multiple factors for why a mom gets recurrent
mastitis. Another one I've heard is anemia in mom, as a risk factor. I'd
rather investigate other things before I tried antibiotics daily :-( Pat in
SNJ
