What a "c-r-o-c-k! The bottom line very "smoothly" says it all, or at least says the portion that's not "under the table"!

Wonder how much financial consideration to these professional organizations passes yearly from the IFC????

And boiling the water - - - which is usually not where the cronobacter comes from - - - - -and letting it cool to 158 degrees (can't you just see all those naive young sleep-deprived parents and seasoned grandparents, hauling out their cooking thermometers (can't remember when the last time was that I saw a cooking thermometer in my utensil drawer, let alone used one!). Or envision them virtuusly watching the clock to let the water cool just the right amount of time, or guestimate when it's at just the right temperature, so it can kill the germs that, if present, are present in the powdered formula itself??? That part of course, doesn't seem to be mentioned, and those who try to follow the directions are gonna feel so virtuous when they do it. All except the times when out shopping, or elsewhere and the baby starts to call attention to its situation, embarrassing the parent. The parent hauls out the diaper bag, dives right in to handle everything with the same hands that just maneuvered the steering wheel, the cell phone, the stroller and the car seat, and the front door of the establishment they are in, finds the large bottle of "special water" or has some tap water, or maybe even previously boiled water in the feeding bottle, opens the can of powder, handles the scoop, dumps in the powder, puts the scoop back in the can, caps the bottle, shakes it up, and no problemo!! Problem solved!! I would feel so stupid trying to persuade a grandparent to do it this way, especially since the directions are so wishy-washy in deference to the HCP. Is it any wonder the young people might follow their family's advice and do it the "easy way", and just hope, rather than argue?

Slant, slant, slant. And the public is so used to it that they are taken in, hook line and sinker!!

The baby care atmosphere is just as polluted, or moreso, as every other type of atmosphere in our culture today! And "it's a free country" and "everyone's entitled to their own opinion" so there's so little we can actually do to stop it even here, let alone in the developing world. When you stomp it out in one venue, it pops its ugly head up in another, and one wonders whether the professional organizations and indivdual HCP's even realize they've been "pimped"???
