They can't have it both ways.  I am sure these same doctors would tell
a mother that breastfeeding does not have any child spacing effects.

The fact is, they have no idea, in this case whether the procedure
would work or not if the mother is breastfeeding.  There is no data
one way or the other.  How often does this situation arise?  Who
studied it?
