I received my results yesterday and am very honored to add the designation
IBCLC after my name. I am now in the process of setting up a private practice
in Canada's North. To the best of my knowledge there was an IBCLC here until
April and I have heard from Public Health and others in the community that her
services are greatly missed.
I have spent the past eight years working toward helping parents become the
best parents they can be and offer their chil(ren) the best nutrition known.
The designation IBCLC allows me the priviledge of continuing this work outside
the traditional public health nursing work situation.
I  am so pleased to be able to listen to your experiences and take advantage
of your wisdom here on Lactnet. Access to colleagues is so important to the
learning process.
I am looking forward to beginning a new career and to continuing to take part
in the education that happens through this group.
