I tell them I feel it is best to offer dinner (first breast) and let baby
take all he wants, then offer dessert (second breast).  Sometimes baby will
be full after dinner and not want dessert. In that case, offer second breast
at next fdg.  Sometimes he will want dessert.  I point out that some babies
always seem to want both breasts at all fdgs and some babies always seem to
just take the one.  And then their are inbetweens.   (I had one of each
type). As a great hostess, always OFFER dessert, but don't be upset if the
guest (baby) politely refuses.
