Good afternoon. Please don't fret, as I would not close down Lactnet
unless I could not figure out another way, along with my very wonderful
admin volunteers, to work things through.

I am frustrated and tired of the tonality... And I will entertain all
solutions until the right one comes to mind. Things do have to change
here, though, as we are no longer accomplishing what I had set out to
do.

Lactnet does remain a good source of information, especially for far
flung peole, isolated people, etc. However, when the troubles of a few
become the thorn in the side of many, then something has to change.
That's all. I, more than anyone, would hate to see Lactnet go away. That
would only be an end option...if I could not find any other path to
travel.

Please let's focus our energies now on breastfeeding, on answering each
other's questions re: case studies, etc,. Back to the usual program. We
will let you know what the deal is when we have had time to contemplate.

Kathleen

Subject: A Plea to Barbara W-C and all Lactnetters

Please, can't we all just get along??

Barbara Wilson-Clay, I think I speak for many of us when I lament your
last post about withdrawing from active participation on this list. This
list needs you! You, and many others too numerous to name individually,
are the backbone of this group. A lowly aspiring LC like me gets so much
from every carefully worded post you put out there. Your experience and
expertise are a beacon for me when I'm adrift at sea.

While I admit to feeling a frisson at some of the more tense exchanges
in recent times, I feel that sustaining this free-flowing ongoing
dialogue among like-purpose minds - within a framework of camaraderie
and support - ought to be an attainable goal. I, personally and
selfishly, am saddened by this development.

Glumly,
Marjorie in Brooklyn, NY
