Our parents can carry their babies in their rooms, no problem.  The can come
into the baby/mother discharge instruction class and hold them, no problem.
BUT on the way to the class they have to push them in the "plastic boxes".  It
is a hospital policy.  Unfortunately this is a policy that if we were to allow
a parent to do it we would be in very big trouble.  BUT the policy we have
saying breastfeeding moms are NOT to be given formula upon discharge is broken
EVERY day by nearly every nurse and yet NO one gets called onto the carpet for
that!
