There is a great editorial in yesterday's NEJM titled calcium
supplementation during breastfeeding. It is written by Ann Prentice. It
summarizes
all of the available information on calcium supplementation, calcium
metabolism, bone density and osteoporosis related to breastfeeding. I would
really recommend it. You can read it at
