Dear Lactnet Friends:

I think this study misses a huge connection between birth practice and
admission to the Intensive Care Nursery.

In Table 2, it looks as though the moms who did antenatal breast expression
(starting at 36 weeks) had a higher percentage of babies admitted to ICN.
However there are 2 flaws. One is that the group doing antenatal expression
was much smaller than the group not. And the other is that nearly half the
group expressing antenatally had labor induced.
