This is an anonymous post from one of our subscribers:

If you saw Oprah today (4/2/97) and the segment on "extended breastfeeding"
you can write to Oprah in one of several ways.

First, remember to write as an individual - a "great fan of Oprah's" (if you
are).

Sentences to whet your creative juices might include:
"This is so unlike you Oprah..." or "Why did you present such a
negative viewpoint..."

Letters may be directed in one of several ways:
"Oprah Winfrey" or "Oprah" or "Harpo Productions" or "Oprah
Winfrey at Harpo Productions"

There are three ways you can address your mail:
100 N. Carpenter - Chicago - IL - 60607
100 Carpenter - Chicago - IL - 60607
PO Box 909715 - Chicago - IL 60690

You may also telephone Oprah at 312-633-0808 (a live human answers this
phone)

Please remember when you write, to write a sensitive and well thought-out
letter. Emotions, anger and "nastiness" can be counter-productive and only
give credence to the myth that breastfeeding advocates/supporters are
fanatics.

If you do write (and/or recieve a reply) please forward a blind copy to LLLI
since they were originally contacted about this segment. They also
appreciate all postive support surrounding negative publicity.

Thank you for helping to keep them on their toes!
