I found this to be a good site explaining CAH (congenital adrenal
hyperplasia) and its consequences:
http://medical-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/congenital+adrenal+hyperplasia
I'm going to assume the mother in question has the milder form that is
diagnosed in young adulthood.
I don't see anything about calcium metabolism specifically.
It may be that nerve conduction is a bit off due to electrolyte
abnormalities, or who knows why mother is having vasospasms.
I vote to treat with wool breast pads, heat, and prescription meds and see
how it improves.
Don't know how the birth went, but maybe a few CST treatments for baby.
Maybe baby is clamping down some, or pulling some, could be due to lower
milk supply, as these moms typically have high androgen levels.
Just some thoughts.
