…I hear what you are saying, but, if we truly care about the future of moms and babies and breastfeeding, we MUST make this a profession that people get paid well to be in.
…And let's not let the insurance companies tell us that we cannot be paid fairly.  Even if we were paid, say 600 per client, the insurance companies would actually benefit in decreased healthcare costs in the future, AND, remember, breastfeeding isn't like heart disease, cancer or diabetes:  the amount of lactation help that a dyad needs is fairly limited compared to other healthcare costs over a lifetime.
