It is my understanding that these infants need to remain flat. Perhaps
there is some way that the mom could lie down to nurse?...in a bed,? I
would definitely encourage her to work things out with the hospital. There
is no rason why this baby cannot nurse, especially when it is able to be
picked up..etc. I do not think it takes that long..to get to that point.
That nurse is unsupportive of breastfeeding (who suggested that she not
bother bf)...an opinion that borders on malpractice, in my opinion.
Doctors, nurses, others...comments/?
