The mother has, no doubt, heard this from other people, and I appreciate
the fact that you are not limiting yourself to these suggestions. I
think it is significant that the mother seems to have set some strong
guidelines for herself, in terms of timing and quantity. Thank goodness
this child is still breastfeeding! Smoking, drinking and weaning are all
bad, of course, but let's not throw out the breastmilk with the bottles
of booze.
