In very orthodox reformed christian communities in The Netherlands there are
big families of up to around 10 or more (not all mothers do like to have
their family that big, but feel they have to want a big family for religious
reasons!) and a relatively high rate of mentally disabled children. I don't
think that this has only to do with higher maternal age but that 'inbreed'
could it have to do with, too.
