One of our LC's thinks we should cover our unit with 24 hr call. An LC
would be "in-house" all the time. We would be allowed to sleep/rest,
but would be called for all BRF deliveries and/or BRF problems. Our
work week would be 1-24 hr shift plus 2-8 hr days. This is the same
system our neonatal nurse practioners use. Sounds wonderful, but not
realistic til we have more IBCLC's.

The way it is right now...We have CBE's but most are not really "into"
this stuff so if it has anything to do with a body part leaking milk
they call Lactation.
