I am very glad Kathy brought cultural traditions up.  I come from a
family of no traditions and my daughters have perpetuated some actions
and events and actually call them "a family tradition" to others.  It
just blows me away that they've pounced on what they like.

Connecting it to breastfeeding:  How does one make it a family tradition
if the child is weaned too early to remember it?  BF would more easily
become a family tradition if the children in the family sustain it long
enough to say "Remember when....."
