I remember hearing that a baby on premie formula would get as much mag
as a baby nursing from a mom who's been on mag. It may have been Ruth
Lawrence, but I'm not sure-hopefully someone else can fill this in.

I have an observation and wonder if anyone else has noticed it. It
seems as if babies whose moms have been on mag for an extended time
before delivery are less affected by it while babies whose mom has only
been on it for 24 hours or so seem to be more "mag'd out" (sleepy, no
interest in feeding, even a little hypotonic). If others have noticed
it and it's more than a fluke, why would that be? Do they perhaps
become acclimated to its effects?

Winnie
