>>Perhaps if puberty is delayed, some degree of critical breast
development is missed? I hypothesize that this can be made up during
pregnancy and subsequent lactations. This may be one reason why these
mothers have to work so hard and get milk so late. This mother did not
fit into any of the categories of hypoplastic breasts as described by
Kathleen Huggins. Thoughts?<<

I've been gone and just read this. I have also had a couple of moms
whose histories were totally clean, even to experiencing at least a
little development, but then had no milk for no discernible cause.
Breast shapes within normal limits.

In researching a connection between PCOS and insufficient supply, I've
done so with the realization that PCOS would not be the end-answer, but
rather could give us a start in understanding other underlying
possibilities. There is so much to yet be figured out.

Regarding the breast growth "window of opportunity," that was a general
range, not an absolute one. What I'm interested in is taking suspicious
symptoms such as for PCOS seriously and treating earlier on in
developing teens so as to maximize normal breast growth.
