Hi everyone,

Did anyone catch In Search of Human Origins Pt II on PBS Tuesday night? I
was channel surfing and caught the last half hour. I found PBS on the web,
and e-mailed them the following.

I caught the last bit of In Search of Human Origins Pt II on Tuesday June 10,
1997.

I found the topic quite interesting, but was very disappointed in one aspect
of this program. You had no problem showing a female Homo erectus
breastfeeding her infant; yet, when you discussed Homo sapiens, it was quite
the opposite. You mentioned how the infant's brain continues to develop
after birth, but you neglected to mention that breastmilk is required for
optimum brain growth in Homo sapiens. In fact, you depicted a typical
hospital setting: nursery, infants by themselves, nurse bottle-feeding an
 infant Enfamil's artificial baby milk.

If it was not for breastfeeding and breastmilk, Homo sapiens would not have
evolved and be walking this Earth today!!!!!!

Sincerely,
Gloria Thai, mother of three beautiful breastfed Homo sapiens.

Did I go too far with my last thought?!

Aloha,
Gloria Thai LLLLeader Hawai'i
