What comes to mind besides explaining to mom that this is common behavior
for older babies and ways to reduce distractions would be to make a comment
on how aware and smart her baby must be to have such interest in the world
around her. Letting mom know baby is not rejecting her is also important.
Wearing baby also provides many more opportunities for nursing on the go
and may just fit the nursing style of the distractible baby.
