Susan, how unfortunate that the reporter opted to twist your information. I
wonder if it would be appropriate to take the bull (cow?) by the horns (udder?)
and send the hospitals in the area a copy of the information that you sent the
reporter and explain your horror at being misquoted like that? Also send a copy
of the letter you wrote to the reporter complaining. Are there other newspapers
in the city? Would another letter to the editor to any of them explaining your
position be appropriate?

Just a thought.
