I have taken up cross stitch again recently after a several year
hiatus. I like to make my own designs, because they are usually pieces
for family members that are very personal and I combine designs and
pictures to make my design. There are lots of clip art designs and pix
on the web. Some of the logos for bf organizations are quite nice and
simple enough to translate well into needlework. I don't think you need
permission to use the graphic for your own use, but someone else
probably knows more about that than I do.

The project I'm working on now is the logo for my sister-in-law's
accupunture practice. I printed it out on graph paper to help with the
cross stitch, however, I still have to count a lot.

Often I use needlepoint instead. It is a little heavier than cross
stitch in appearance, and you have to fill in the whole canvas, but,
with a special pen available at any needlework store, you can draw the
picture directly onto the canvas because the needlepoint covers the
whole canvas.

Happy stitching
Naomi
