Dear Jon,

I don't suppose that R--- who did the study stating that moms who
supplemented breastfed longer than those who did not bothered to define
"supplement" did they? In the past, supplement has been defined as "any
feeding given other than at the breast one or more times a week" Therefore,
if a mom gives expressed breastmilk in a bottle so she can go out for a
romantic dinner, that qualifies as supplementing. Those mothers who do
something like that, will, on average, breastfeed longer than those who never
"supplement."

Dontcha love "research?"
