The pediatrician is WRONG!  Breastfeeding helps prevent and shorten the
duration of diarrhea due to rotovirus.  ALL of the current recommendations for
diarrhea recommend continuing breastfeeding through the diarrhea.  This is
expressed by the AAP's own practice parameter on gastroenteritis.
