In 1994, the AAP convened a work group on breastfeeding.  Their tasks
included reviewing the Academy's 1982 policy statement on the
promotion of breastfeeding.  Does anyone know the status of their
work? Do you know if they have addressed the issues of a
recommendation for the lenghth of  "exclusive breastfeeding", the use
of "Breastfeeding" rather than "Breast Feeding",extended nursing
(beyond a year)?  Have they revised "A Gift of Love"? What other
issues have they addressed? Can we expect an updated statement at
some time in the future? TIA.
