I guess I'd better introduce myself, I've been lurking for quite awhile.  I
am Belinda Bohnert a LLLLeader.  Mother to four, Joshua, Chapin Gretchen, &
Annaliese, ages 11 to 2, all breastfed, and still nursing one, occasionally
two.
First C-section next three at home.  I am a birth junkie-I love attending
births.

I must respond to Katherine Dettwyler post about:

I have received quite a few calls from Mothers wanting to wean because of
comments made by relatives, church members, friends etc.  This also comes
up at our LLL Meetings several times a year.  Why do these Mothers tell
those people to whom it isn't any of their business?  I ask them to ask
themselves will it make a difference to the world, will it educate this
person to make a difference?  If it's old Aunt Minnie whom will never
breastfeed because she is 72 why should she be told?  If it is a pregnant
co-worker, cousin etc. sure tell of your experiences, it might make a
difference.  This usually comes up about the family bed and extended
nursing (I really hate that term, can anyone think of another?)  Money is a
passion of mine so I understand the delimma here,  she could she possibly
say we are really working on it. (smile)
