The nuk shaped nipple is among the fastest flowing teats (Mathews),not
always a good idea because it can overwhelm babies.  Also, I submit that
what you want to have baby do is be the one to flatten the teat.  If you
place an already flattened teat in their mouths, where is the work?  You
create a weak tongue when it no longer must do the requisite 'push ups' to
flatten the teat.  I like a round, slow flowing, wide based teat that is a
bit shorter than what R. Nobles likes to use.  I like to think that the
place for the teat length to rest is just short of the palatal junctions
(which is where the maternal teat typically lies in the ultrasounds from Dr.
Hartmann's lab (if I understand it correctly).
