Hi Nikki and all,

I´m laughing to myself about myself and my incapacity to explain myself :P

Ok, imagine you are doing a study, and you have two groups. One is a group
of dyads in which the positioning and latch look terrible, or unorthodox,
or not-by-the-book, but there is NO pain. The other is a group of dyads
where the positioning and latch look just as bad, and there IS pain.

If positioning and latch look just as bad in both groups, how would you
account for poor positioning and latch to be the main cause of
breastfeeding pain? Both groups have it, but only half the mothers feel
pain.

Are there any studies that show incorrect position and latch to be a
frequent DEFINITIVE CAUSE OF PAIN? WHy do some mothers whose babies are
poorly latched have no pain?
