okay, recipe time, i make what i call golden breast candies. you take some
powdered sugar and mix it with brandy (i use fruit brandy i make myself) that
has been simmered with a spoonful of peppercorns for a few minutes. you mix
the liquid with enough powdered sugar to be stiff, roll it out, and cut it
into little bitty circles. then i put a golden dragee on each one, and a
little bit of golden powder (from the cake supply store). they can be quite
spicy if you let the pepper steep a long time.

can you tell i don't measure when i cook? drives my mother nuts. and other
people. these are easy to make, you have to let them sit and dry out a bit or
else they stick together. i put them i single layers on wax paper.
