There are four US states where it is mandatory for an employer to be supportive of breastfeeding mothers who are in their employ. They are Hawaii, Illinois, Minnesota and Tennessee. In Illinois employers must allow a breastfeeding mother to pump for her child but doesn't have to pay her for the time. So can require that she come in early or stay late to make up the time.

Hope this helps.
