Daily weights can change if baby has a large bm right before being 
weighed or eats a lot right before being weighed. I suggest parents look 
at a pattern of gain over a few days or a week (depending on how scary 
the situation is). So weights are a bit subjective. If you weigh the 
baby before nursing, then he eats some, then has a large bm and pee, you 
get a lower weight from the first one usually.
