Hi Valerie
I noticed the same thing recently, re your comment "It certainly helps to
have someone like researcher Dr. Jose Saavedra of John Hopkins promoting
probiotics in medical journals. Of course most people
don't know that he is also the medical and scientific director of Nestle
USA." My boss passed a nutrition journal to me with some lactation related
articles. There was much other articles about probiotics. I'm not sure if
Saavedra was author but the articles seemed so ironic to me as they were
about gut diseases (largely preventable via bf) and treatments with
probiotics. So I wrote in the margins something like "take away bf and give
them the disease, then cure them with stuff from breastmilk." I also find it
ironic that I think it is Ross that makes an RSV vaccine or treatment but
that bf will largely help prevent RSV. So it tends to make me wonder if Ross
has a vested interest in having RSV to treat.
