A pastor's wife in my area has used the book "A Mother's Heart" by Jean Fleming as the basis for a study group.  It's definitely Christian/Bibical in perspective and has study questions at the end of each chapter.  Fleming's focus is the ongoing spiritual development of a mother, rather than practical advice on "how-to-get-your-baby-to-sleep-without-you".

From the book:  "If you are a mother, you have a calling from God.  God entrusts into your care a life, a future, a piece of what the world will become...to be wise, every woman must start with herself."
