After searching archives I was interested in getting info on the suction
device used to pull out severely inverted nipples. The LC at the hospital
where this mom gave birth suggested nipple shield and pumping but there is no
sign of the nipple (mom has tried various methods to bring out nipple
manually) I also read of putting baby to breast directly and will suggest
this to her even if the nipple is not "out". This is the mom's second attempt
at bf. She wore the breast shell but without any success. I am sure the LC
knows more than I but this mom had wanted so badly to nurse without having to
pump and bottle feed like first baby (this lasted 2 months). I spent and hour
searching so I wouldn't ask for info already available but if anyone has
another suggestion let me know. (I guess there is also a surgery but with 3
day old baby, I don't think mom would be interested).
