A couple of thoughts: were the babies preterm? How much formula supps were
being used? and Were the babies weighed nude each time? Perhaps the
supplementation should be weaned down more gradually or perhaps the baby who
lost wt will regain it once he can ad lib breastfeed. Mom could rent an
accurate scale and she could tell what baby was taking each feed and she
could weight them daily.
