Permission to post from mom.
Mother had twins 3 months ago. She is her mid 40's. She was never able to get a
supply going for many different reasons. Since this is her last pregnancy, she was
very upset about not being able to bf. Her son wasn't interested in nursing, but she
was able to comfort nurse her daughter nicely until recently. The baby sarted being
upset at the breast, even though she is brought to the breast after she is fully fed, It
has gotten so bad that mother can't hold her baby w/o the baby screaming to go to
the breast, and then being upset once she is there. Nothing seems to have changed.
Supply was never there, so there isn't suddenly a drop. Mother was told to wean, but
she is hesitant. She was hoping to be able to do non-nutritive sucking for an
extended period. SNS is not an option at this point.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I wasn't able to think of anything.
Thanks for your help.
