Benadryl and toradol OK per Hale. Thorazine in a single dose is probably OK
too, watch for sedation in baby. Thorazine is particularily sedating and
has a long half life (30 hours), peak level 1-2 hours. One study reports
use in 4 BF moms(doses unspecified), only one baby had a problem. Hale says
long-term use may be risky to the bf infant. But we are talking about a
single dose, plus almost 12 hours have already passed, plus it is a 4 1/2 mo
old baby, not a newborn. I'd say nurse. And get to a neurologist for some
on-going migraine help with meds that we know are compatible with BF!
Sincerely, Pat in SNJ
