Can someone elaborate for me why it was determined conclusively that the
WNV-specific IgM was generated by the baby? What did you mean, Nancy Wight,
when you said the molecules are too large? Too large to pass from the baby's
gut into the baby's blood stream?

What does it say in Lawrence that allowed the MMWR's editorial writers to
conclude that the IgM found was generated by the baby and not passively
acquired from the mother?

Thanks,

(These are things the CDC should be explaining - I'm just cranky as
h-e-double-hockey-sticks about how the communication on this issue has been
handled.)
