I have been asked a question by a colleague.
Has anyone heard of a woman losing all nipple sensation (bilaterally)
following extreme engorgement? After her second baby nine years ago, she
decided not to breastfeed, and became very engorged. Apparently, she has had
no nipple sensation since then.
I asked about breastfeeding the first baby, but my colleague didn't know
about this. I asked about breast surgery, and the woman has had breast
implants, but we don't know where the incisions were placed.
So, could extreme breast engorgement lead to loss of sensation on both
nipples?
thanks,
