Just had a call on the Help Line from a woman who was hand pumping and got 2
ounces of clear fluid -- it did not look like milk so she says. Since she
had never tasted her milk, she had no idea if it tasted like human milk.
Her question was concerning feeding it to the baby, 9 weeks old. My thought
was that he would be getting it from her if he were at the breast so it
should be OK to save and feed to him.

I also suggested that when the baby feeds at the breast next time, try to
take the baby off, briefly, and see what the baby is getting. She remembered
that she had pumped clear milk before but only a small amount that turned
more white as she continued to pump.

Any information or comments would be appreciated.
