Has anyone seen the November issue of Baby Talk? On the 8th page there is a
section for reader mail. The very first is called A Question Of Taste. The
picture to the right shows a woman (viewed from a balcony above) nursing
twins (naked) while she is shown with a naked torso. The picture is quite
beautiful in my opinion. The article was called Double Take and had appeared
in an earlier issue. The picture was by Howard Schatz. I think the book is
titled Newborn. He said "I looked through the lens and something came over
me. My eyes welled with tears, and I literally leaned over and gasped." Has
anyone seen his book in it’s entirety? It was the beautiful picture that
caught my eye. Then I read the letter next to it and felt a scream boiling
within. The letter is as follows…

I have been reading your magazine for four years and have found it to be of
high quality, which is why I was surprised by "Double Take" (The Last Word,
September). I found your photograph to be very distasteful and too erotic,
and I think it has no place in a baby magazine that gets left lying around
the house for any eyes to see.

The next two letters are very supportive one woman said "I thought the
picture was funny. Too many people believe breasts should be hidden - even
while we feed our children"!
