These are the references that I found:

Lactalbumin to a protein inducing apoptosis. Proc Natl Acad Sci USA 2000; 97:

Anders Hakansson, MD, PhD is project assistant and microbiologist in the lab
of Dr Catharina Svanborg at Lund Univesity Institute of Laboratory Medicine
in the section of microbiology, Immunology and Glycobiology in Lund Sweden.
He presented a session entitled "Apoptosis Induced by a Human Milk Protein
Complex" at ILCA in 2000.
At the Milk Bank we are careful not to say that breastmilk kills cancer. We
do have some recipients who seem to have a higher quality of end of life,
better nutrient uptake, less secondary infections and some seem to think
their life was prolonged ( according to family members). There was an
article about one of the cancer recipients in the Chicago Tribune last
spring.

Eastern NC (now that I have heard about Medela's new pump and Peter Hartmann
PhD's session at ILCA I am really bummed out that I cannot go!!!)
