Dear Marsha

I am new to lacnet and planning to write my lactation consultant this July.
I work on a post partum ward in Victoria,B.C. Canada. We too have the
problem of Mom's requesting babies to spend the night in the nursery. I
would be very interested in your bonding list. Could you please forward it
to me ..Many Thanks

Subject: Boding Tips List Update

> I had a request to post this information to LN so here is an update on the
Bonding Tips list that I first told you about last year. You may remember,
my department director requested that I write this so that we could post it
in the patient rooms as a way of encouraging parents to keep their babies
> in their room instead of taking them to the nursery which seems to happen
a lot at night. I did finalize this list and many of you requested and
received it from me. It has been copyrighted by the hospital but I haven't
published it in anything, though some of you have put it in newsletters and
on
> websites (I'd love to know of these, if you have done this!). This
request is fortuitous because just last week I received word that it was
accepted for a poster presentation at the Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor
Society annual conference this year. Also accepted was a presentation
prepared by our
> sister hospital on their road to becoming Baby Friendly (we each didn't
know the other was submitting!), so conference attendees are going to get a
heaping helping of what we consider important parenting
/bonding/breastfeeding support and information. If you didn't get this list
and would like to
> have it, email me privately and I'm happy to send it.
